USE OF MICRO SILICA.

Almicro silica is used in concrete to achieve dense, durable and height strength concrete. It is also used to achieve concrete of low permeability of water as well as to chloride and sulfate ions. 
For addition of micro silica to concrete mix a computerized and wet pan system batching plant is required where as we have got 2 nos. of Liebherr Betomix 2.0 German plants fully computerized, which are able to produce concrete @ 90 M³ per hour each. All weighting and volumetric devices will be calibrated frequently to achieve consistent results.

Micro silica is dispensed from normal silo with the screw angle of 15 degree to avoid blockage of micro silica. As micro silica covers about double area than the cement volume. We have silo of 50 tons capacity of cement, so we can store about 20 tons of micro silica.

TECHNICAL .

TECHNICAL
The Technical Department is under the control of the Technical Manager, who is responsible for monitoring and controlling the quality of concrete supplied by ALEESCO. Under his guidance, the Technical Department carries out the following functions:

1. Review of all enquiries and specifications
2. Design of all mixes used by the Company
3. Compilation of all technical submissions, including Pre-qualifications, Mix Designs, and Technical Reports.
4. Arrangement and control of both laboratory and production trial mixes for approvals.
5. Monitoring and testing all raw materials delivered to the plants.
6. Monitoring of concrete during production
7. Assessment and statistical analysis of all test results, taking action where necessary.
8. Testing performance of new material sources
9. Investigation of all Technical queries and complaints
10. Research & Development.

Laboratory
ALEESCO has laboratories set up at all plant locations, as satellites to the Central Laboratory located at Sulay. Each plant laboratory is equipped to carry out monitoring of production, carrying out slump and temperature testing at the plant and on site. Each plant will also make test cylinders or cubes for our own QC monitoring, and will take samples at site when requested. These will be stored in curing tanks at the on-site laboratory, and sent at the appropriate time to the Central Laboratory for testing. Raw materials will be sampled by each plant, and these will be sent to the Central Laboratory for testing. All test reports will be stored at the Central Laboratory Technical Office, for reference, and to be compiled into reports.
Personnel
Technical Manager
The senior manager in the Technical Department, a degree qualified engineer with vast experience and knowledge of concrete. Responsible for the overall running and performance of the Technical Department. Based at the Central Laboratory Technical Office.
Laboratory Supervisor
A qualified engineer, highly experienced in testing concrete and raw materials. Responsible for the day to day running of the Central Laboratory, overseeing all testing carried out there, and for compiling the test reports. Also responsible for allocating Technicians to their various duties, and arranging their transportation, and the collection of samples from site. Organizes laboratory trial mixes. Based at the Central Laboratory.
